Ing. Mirka Búdová
Founder, coordinatorMirka is the founder of this project. She came to nature-based education through her two children, with whom she has spent most of her time outdoors since they were born. Together with their dog, they explored the surrounding woods and meadows, learning from nature and from one another. She originally studied chemistry at the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, but she was increasingly drawn to combining science, motherhood, time outdoors and children’s curiosity. That is why she is now also studying Pre-school Teacher Education at Charles University, which she will complete with her final bachelor’s examination in June 2027.
PhDr. Maruška Rychlíková, PhD.
FounderShe met Mirka on a playground, where they started talking about children, nature, education and how it can all be connected. Maruška grew up with her sister in the forests of the Beskydy Mountains, where her mother, a teacher, and her father, a forester, inspired her enthusiasm for and love of nature. She originally trained as a primary school teacher and, still curious, went on to doctoral studies in education. During her studies she spent a year and a half in Scandinavian countries, soaking up inspiration. Afterwards she felt drawn to younger children and to the foundations of everything that matters. She likes to weave short speech-therapy moments into the children’s day, which is why she broadened her knowledge with a speech therapy assistant course.
Mgr. Věrka Křapáčková
Forest kindergarten guide (teacher)Věrka has worked in a forest kindergarten (originally a forest club) for almost ten years. She grew up in Osnice, where from an early age she helped her family look after fields, meadows and woods – work that is also a love, and still part of who she is today. Nature and everything around us matter deeply to her. Věrka is like a tree that gives strength and firm support to those around her, so that children and fellow guides can grow beside her. She studied Special Education and keeps learning and discovering new things.
